Harvest Trip To The Care Home

This autumn, we had the wonderful opportunity to take some of our children on a special trip to a local care home as part of our Harvest celebrations. This experience not only gave the children a chance to learn more about the season but also brought joy to the care home residents.

Our day began with the children performing a selection of traditional harvest songs they had been practising weeks prior. Their singing filled the room with smiles and laughter, and it was a joy to see the residents singing along.

This experience was invaluable for our children. Not only did they learn about the importance of community and giving back, but they also developed empathy and social skills by interacting with the residents.

We are incredibly proud of our children for making the day so special for the care home residents, and we are grateful to the staff for welcoming us so warmly. The day was a reminder of the power of community and the beautiful connections that can be made across generations.
